HEA steel beams have the following characteristics:

• Hot-rolled beams comply with European standards.
• Lighter than HEB beams: low height of their central parts (strip) and low thickness of the web and flanges.
• HEA beams have a galvanized, shot-blasted and pre-painted finish.
• They can be fixed by gluing or screwing.
• The width of their flanges gives them a resistance to torsion and a great ability to with stand transverse loads.
• They are frequently used in metal manufacturing and industry.

HEB steel beams have the following properties:

• They are produced by hot rolling in accordance with European standard 10025.
• HEB beams are called the normal version because of the height and thickness of their webs and flanges compared to HEA beams.
• HEB beams are available in a wide range of grades, the most commonly used of which are: S235JR/ S275JR/ S355J2.
• This selection of beams is most often used in the manufacture and assembly of mechanical frames, the agricultural sector, etc.
